Official handover of the construction fully completed Cancer Unit to Teaching Hospital, Badulla on the 22^nd of February 2024.

The Oncology Building, spanning three stories, stands as a symbol of hope and healing for cancer patients in our community. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and modern amenities, it is poised to provide comprehensive care and support to those battling cancer, ensuring they receive the highest standards of treatment and comfort.

Establishment of the Ten Story Professorial Unit of the faculty of Medicine, Uva Wellassa University, at the Teaching Hospital, Badulla on 26th November 2023.

ඌනව වෙල්ලස්ස විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ වෛද්‍ය පීඨයේ මහාචාර්්‍ය ඒකකය සදහා වු දස මහල් ගොඩනැගිල්ල ඉදි කිරීමේ කටයතු ආරම්භ කිරීම හා බදුල්ල පළාත් මහ රෝල ශික්ෂණ රෝහලක් බවට උත්ශ්‍රේණි ගත කිරීම ප්‍රකාශයට පත්කිරීම සනිටුහන් කිරීම 2023 නොවැම්බර් මස 26 වන දින සුභ මොහොතින් මැති ඇමතිතුමන්ලාගේ හා රාජ්‍ය නිළධාරීන්ගේ සහභාගීත්වයෙන් රෝහල් පරිශ්‍රෙය්දී සිදු කරන ලදි.

දිවයිනේ පළමුවරට විද්‍යා විෂය ධාරාවෙන් අධ්‍යාපනය හදාරන පාසල් සිසු සිසුවියන් සදහා වෛද්‍ය ප්‍රදර්ශණයක් 2023 ජනවාරි මස 9,10,11 යන දිනලවදී බදුල්ල පළාත් මහ රෝහලේදී පැවැත්විය. මෙහිදී ශල්‍යාගාර, දැඩි සත්කාර ඒ්කක, විකිරණ ඒ්කකය,රසායනාගාරය,අධිකරණ වෛද්‍ය ඒ්කක හා රෝගී සත්කාර සේවාවන් සදහා දායක වන ඒ්කක මගින් සිදුවන්නා වු කාර්යභාරයන් සවිස්තරාත්මකව අදාල ඒ්කක මගින් ඉදිරිපත් කල අතර ඒමගින් දැනුම් සම්භාරයක් සිසු සිසුවියන් විසින් ලබා ගැනීමට අවස්ථාව උදාවිය.

දිවයිනේ ප්‍රථමවරට පාසල් සිසු සිසුවියන් සදහා ශල්‍යාගාරයක් තුල මෙන්ම දැඩිසත්කාර ඒ්කක ඇතුලු විශේෂිත ඒ්කකයන්හි සිදුවන්නා වු රෝගී සත්කාර සේවා කටයතු දැකබලා අත්දැකීමක් ලබා ගැනීමට ලබා දුන් මෙම අවස්ථාව සියලුම පාසල් විදුහල්පතිවරුන් විසින් ඇගයීමකට ලක් කරන ලදි.

රෝහල් අධ්‍යක්ෂ වෛද්‍ය උපුල් කරුණාරත්න මහතාගේ සංකල්පයකට අනුව සංවිධානය කරනු ලැබු වෙව වෛද්‍ය ප්‍රදර්ශනය සදහා විශේෂඥ වෛද්‍ය වරුන්/වෛද්‍යවරුන්/හෙද කාර්ය මණ්ඩලය/අතුරු හා පරිපුරක වෛද්‍ය කාර්ය මණ්ඩල මෙන්ම හෙද විදුහල් විදුහල්පතිණය ඇතුලු හෙද ආචාර්ය මණ්ඩයෙන්ද ඉතා වටිනා දායකත්වයක්ද හිමිවු අතර සෞඛ්‍ය කාර්ය සහයක කාර්ය මණ්ඩයෙන්ද ඉතා අගනා දායකත්වයක් ලැබිණි.
